The Journey Inside the Book
It is my belief that the language of our heart, which is as unique as each one of us, is the true essence of our being. And it is this heart energy that is creative. We are all creative beings … we are co-creators of the life we are living … by the thoughts we choose to focus on, the emotions and meaning we give to these thoughts, the actions (or lack of) that they inspire, and ultimately, the results we have. This … our life … is our creation!
Why Practice Matters
How we recognize, process and give volume to that voice of our heart takes practice and commitment, and helps bring a purpose to our lives. So how much time, attention and nurturing do we bring to this self discovery? It doesn’t have to take a lot of time, but the regular practice allows us a deeper, more understood dialogue with our heart. We become well versed in the language of what matters to us … what we love.
Part of having a regular creative practice, for me, means spending time and attention giving voice to my heart. And along this journey, I’ve had the good fortune and honour of sharing the experience of growth and discovery with other like-minded creative souls … kindred spirits!
Kindred Spirit – Inspiration
When I was a kid, I loved reading Lucy Maud Montgomery’s “Ann of Green Gables”. The term, kindred spirit, moved me. So much so, that my studio name embraces the term. I knew exactly what Lucy meant, and who, in my life at that tender age, were my kindred spirits. I have been so blessed to continue to grow that circle, including my family, and friends both new and old.
The women who are hosting me on this Blog Tour in honour of the launch of my book Soul Food into the US market place at Amazon.com, are kindred spirits introduced to me while on a creative journey in 2016. Each of them brings their unique voice of their creative heart. Please take a look at the websites, offerings and gifts of these exceptional women while touring along with me.
As always, from my heart to yours, I wish you love and best wishes … and the knowing that you are all you ever need to be … because within you breathes pure greatness!!
